Safe Shelter
A clean, stable, and loving home environment where children feel protected and cherished every day.
A Home for Every Child
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." — James 1:27
From a burden in prayer to a refuge of love.
New Promise Home did not begin with a building. It began with a broken heart. Bishop David Walukhu and the community at Nehemia Worship Center could not look away from the faces of children in Mukhonje who had no family, no shelter, and no one to call their own. The Bible was clear: true religion means caring for the orphan and the widow. The question was not whether to act — it was how fast they could build what love demanded.
What began as informal care — meals, school fees, clothing — grew into a structured home where children are not just sheltered but raised. New Promise Home gives every child a name, a bed, an education, healthcare, and most importantly, a family that knows and calls them by name. Here, every child learns that they are not accidents of circumstance — they are children of a God who never forgets, never abandons, and always provides.
Today, New Promise Home stands as a living testimony that when the church takes the Gospel seriously, it does not just preach deliverance — it builds the places where deliverance lives.
Every child deserves more than survival — they deserve to flourish.
A clean, stable, and loving home environment where children feel protected and cherished every day.
