Bishop David Walukhu

Bishop, Nehemia Worship Center

Bishop David Walukhu is a shepherd with a fathering mantle whose ministry has brought restoration to families, healing to broken hearts, and spiritual awakening to communities. His leadership carries depth in Scripture, steadfastness in prayer, and compassion for every generation.

With decades of faithful ministry, he continues to equip leaders, raise disciples, and call the church to holy living and kingdom impact. His voice remains a pillar of wisdom as Nehemia Worship Center expands its reach across Western Kenya and beyond — with 15 worship centers, a Bible Training College, and New Promise Home orphanage standing as testimony to what God builds when His people obey.

A Family Built on Faith

Bishop's Family

Alongside his call to shepherd thousands, Bishop David walks a quieter, equally sacred calling — that of husband and father. He is married to Selina Walukhu, a woman of deep prayer, quiet strength, and unwavering faith whose life is itself a ministry. Together they have built what they preach: a home saturated in Scripture, anchored in worship, and open to God's purposes at every season.

Bishop David and Mama Selina are parents to five children, each one a living testimony that when a family chooses to follow God fully, He fills every room with His presence. Their family is not separate from the ministry — it is the ministry made visible.

Selina is known for her devotion to prayer, care for families, and quiet leadership that strengthens the fabric of our church. A ministry of hospitality and intercession, she invests deeply in women's discipleship, counseling, and support for the vulnerable.

Her encouragement to our congregation is simple and life-giving: "Hold fast to the Lord, lean into prayer, and let love lead your hands in service. Your faithfulness in small things opens doors for God to do great things through you."

Pastor Murunga serves as a pastor-teacher with a heart for discipleship, community care, and practical Christian living. His ministry style blends biblical clarity with pastoral warmth, guiding believers from spiritual infancy into maturity. His pastoral walk is grounded in home — he leads the family of Nehemia Worship Center from the overflow of his own family life, where prayer and the Word are daily bread.

He is passionate about raising families rooted in prayer, mentoring vijana in identity and purpose, and cultivating a worshiping church that walks in power and humility.
